Shan Re

Shan Re

Shan Re is a versatile artist who has explored a wide array of subjects and genres in several group and solo exhibitions in India and abroad since the year 2000. Her work has been collected widely and finds pride of place in several private and corporate collections across the world.

Shan says "My inspiration comes from the core of my inner silence and when I am in a process of painting I feel that I am in tune with right vibrations in the universe." Her current series "The Eternal Spring" represents equanimity, evenness of mind and optimism. It is all about inner vibration of pure self - inner harmony -- reshaping thoughts -- hopes-- renewal-- rebirth & transformation. Each work of Shan can be considered as a complete poem in itself and it appears to be a sudden capture of a fleeting moment and has its own significance and beauty. Each painting of Shan’s has its own importance and uniqueness with free flowing forms and shapes, intense colors infused with mystical sensibility, and poetic humanness. Shan's works provide the viewer with a revitalizing sense of peace, stability and strong dynamic positive energy.

Her most popular series include "The Colorscapes" (2001), "Echos and whispers" (2004), "In the Musical Garden"(2007), "Silence and Solitude" (2001), "The Frozen Fire", "Psychopictografia" (2003), "Premonitions and Precognitions" (2011) and "The Eternal Spring" (2010 to present).

Shan's paintings are lyrical reflections of her subconscious thoughts, feelings, fantasies, hopes and memories. They are exuberant with a sense of joie de vivre, a celebration of life.  Shan is also involved with various NGO s and has contributed her art to several fundraiser art shows and auctions. "I have deep understanding and sympathy towards needy and like to contribute to causes in the capacity of an artist " she says. She lives and works in Bangalore.
