Born and brought up in Kolkata, she isn’t formally trained in Madhubani paintings and has picked it up through observing other artists. She continues to use the traditional modes of painting with a nib on paper with acrylic colors.  I am a Bengaluru based Madhubani (Mithila) Artist. I am from Bihar, the state where Madhubani paintings originated. I work on different types of handmade paper, canvas, and silk and fabrics. I also conduct Madhubani Workshops. I have exhibited my Madhubani Paintings   at several Art Galleries across India including ,Renaissance Art Gallery (Bangalore), David Hall Art Gallery, Fort Kochi, Eka Lifestyle, Bangalore, Genesis Art Gallerie. I have also showcased my work at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, Bengaluru. I am a founding artist at Madhubani Arts India.

I also got an opportunity to display my work at Vista, the premier business festival of IIM Bangalore. Besides these I have been invited by several technology companies in Bangalore to display my work. It was commissioned by the National Resource Centre for Cluster Development (NRCD) National Institute for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (ni-msme), Hyderabad under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, has been published. Had a great opportunity of interviewing more than 10 Madhubani artists and getting to understand from them the challenges and road ahead for the art. My painting 'A Celebration of Life' was chosen as the theme image for the Lok Sangeet Sammelan, organized by India Habitat Center in August 2015. My Painting A Tree of Life was put on cover of a Delhi University's book on Indian History and Culture.
