Yogita is a self taught budding artist. Her work focuses on visible and enriching beauty around our everyday lives, the moments and memories we cherish most. Her portraits reflect the eternal beauty & expressions and celebrate the amazing creativity of Nature. She loves to canvas with Acrylic paint, Charcoal, Oil paint, nail-paint and Watercolor. Her inspiration comes from the people and other living beings she observes. She has pursued her post graduation in Design from National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi one of the premiere institutes of Design and Fashion in India. During her education in NIFT, she did her research-thesis on Biomimicry and its relevance in Design education which influenced her thoughts towards the Nature’s brilliance in its creations. She has done her graduation in Botany from Delhi University which inculcated an understanding of elegance of planned patterns and structures in flora and fauna leading to desire of knowing the nature at minuscule level. During her childhood she started drawing portraits of her younger sister on walls and floor of her home. The inherited art and painting got its wings in school when her Fine arts teacher encouraged her to participate in painting competition where she won first prize at district level. She works as a Design Researcher and her passion and love of sketching and painting are one and only. Currently, she is working on her project called ‘Simply Beautiful- Remembering Memories’.
